Is it possible to use an Indian Status card as photo ID to purchase alcohol at a liquor store? I mean it has Photo ID, your name, and your birthday, and I’m pretty sure it’s sanctioned by the government.

If not, what if your combined it with say your Birth Certificate?

When i was searching for a new computer i saw this feature on some laptops. When you open the lid the webcam activates and will photo id you essentially. Is this something that is available on DV6-1030US? If so, how do i use it?

I am looking for a case for my IPod 30mb which incorporates a lanyard so it will hang round my neck. I don’t always wear things with a belt and find that it falls out of my pocket when I am in the garden. I’ve tried tucking it down my bra ( as a 50 year old – I’m not too concerned about style) but thats not a perfect solution.

You can buy an ipod wristband which holds the ipod and then you simply put it round your wrist. These only cost around £10-£20 in shops however if you looked on ebay you probably buy one much more cheaply.

However if you are looking to put it around your neck then you can always buy a plastic case which often has a little hole on the side to put a piece of string or ribbon through so you can put it round your neck. I have one and i have found it rather helpful.

I heard that all new passports have this RFID chips in them and they can track you from this chip.
Also, the National ID’s are supposed to be in the works this year. Again, with an RFID Chip.
The conspricay theorist say that in the future they are going to chip all products in stores and all money so they will know exaclty how much money you have and what you bought.

The passport chips and the national ID card are very true and in the process. The new passports definately have the chip that I have saw myself on a friends that just got one to go on a cruise.The national ID card is supposed to be completed by 2010 but they are going to fall short of the finish line because many of the states are rufuting.
My personal oppinion of these is that it’s absolutly wrong. It’s just another way to take our privacy away. It is a form of modern day branding, like cattle. Of course the government will claim it’s for our security……suuuurrre.

Hey, I bought a pre-built computer a while ago, I wasnt really for pre-built but the base model was quite decent, with an nvidia nforce mobo, a quad core at 2.66 ghz and 8 gigs of RAM blu-ray 2 SATA hard drives, high definition everything, etc etc all that fun stuff, but the graphics card and power supply seem to be very iffy, The graphics card is called a nvidia geforce 9500GS (Ps the driver failed on me once already and I couldnt fix the problem, nor could a computer technician) and the power supply is a crummy 400W generic that sounds like a boeing, but aside from that, anyone know anything about this card, since it doesnt seem to be anywhere on the internet or the nvidia website. All the reviews i have read about this computer have stated as well, that the rest of the machine is excellent but the graphics card and power supply seem to have been "overlooked". Idk, id just like some help and info on whether an upgrade to a nvidia geforce 9800GT or GTX with a new power supply, and any info on what kind of power supply i should get would be really appreciated..

as well as that, I bought a computer monitor (26.5" samsung) its native res is 1920:1200, but it says it can run in 1080p (idk if 1920:1200 is a better quality then 1080?), yet when I try to it distorts the picture and doesnt scale it properly, could this be the graphics card fault?

Card is junk, this day & age, similar to the 9500gt but with less processing power.

Your card is most likely struggling with a 1080i/p picture/video.

Generally with a well built system you want 500+ watt power supply. Their are many good brands out there, alot of the "cheaper" ones arent ‘true’ wattage so be careful.

I dont drive, goin in tomorrow for passport but likely wont get that on time, no photo ID health card. any photo ID i can get in like 3 days lol

go to the DVM. You’ll need a birth certificate or credit card or mail that has your address and proof of who you are. They will give you a non drivers ID – that’s what i got, you just fill out the paperwork – give them like 10 bucks and they take a picture. go in the morning if possible when its less busy. Your state’s DVM website will have more on exactly what you’ll need to bring and the exactly cost. Easy Peasy

Photo drivers licence is the usual in the US, as most people don’t have or need a passport (ell, untill recently, you now need one to go to canada)

as a tourist (you’re accent kinda gives it away), it will be fine to say its back at the hotel. for entrance to clubs, then yes.. passport or drivers licence showing you are over 21.

In the past what I have done, for genearl ID, is to have a photocopy. If they want to see the original, then whoever is interested, can take me back to the hotel OR they can phone the hotel to confirm I am staying there.

Clubs… will probably want the original, but try it anyway.. or use your less improtant drivers licence (easier/cheaper to replace and you can still leave the country !)

i am trying to figure out which printer to use to scan my id. The printer I currently have blurrs the minuscule details after I scan the card. I need something that can pick up these tiny details clearly. idk if it is the plastic covering but thanks!

There are many HP printers where they auto detect the size.

Whats the best Graphics card I can upgrade this computer with without upgrading the power supply?

I plan on playing World of Warcraft with it, High settings and smooth framerate. Should I upgrade the power supply for a even better graphics card. I expect to play on a small lcd monitor

i cant tell what the power supply is from the specs of the walmart site but i have a NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT which can play ANY game i can throw at it. It is a great graphics card, but it depends on the speed of your processor also. Im not sure with AMD CPU’s but i am very familiar to intel ones. Your AMD processor seems up to the requirements though.

I’m flying Southwest Airlines. My printer isn’t working so I can’t print out the boarding pass. I heard something about needing the credit card you bought the ticket with but my sister bought it and just put it in my name so I don’t have that.

you dont need the credit card that the ticket was purchased with. You can just go to the airport, check in at one of their self check in machines and print your boarding pass that way, or show the ticketing agent your photo ID and confirmation number and they can print your boarding pass.
