A uniform has never been complete without lanyards. As a child, I would always been fascinated looking at the colorful lanyards which the army personnel and police officials wore on their uniform. Especially, in the army each regiment would have differently colored lanyard and sometimes by looking at the lanyard of a person, you could easily tell which particular regiment an officer belonged to.
Now with many companies using lanyards as identity for their employees, I must say flat neck lanyards are really in vogue now. The lanyards sold on compucardInc.com are really beautiful. The advantage here happens to be the fact that you may have your lanyards custom-made according to your company’s requirements and you may place large orders too, so that you do not have to keep going back to them every now and then. The assurance made by the company that they do not in any way harm or spoil our attire or clothing in any manner, should be encouraging enough for the buyers. Sometimes the ordinary lanyards get stuck in our clothing material and damage them especially if they happen to be delicate ones.

Companies often end up allocating a lot of money on their promotion strategy. They use many marketing tools to make people identify with the company and develop a recall in their minds. Irrespective of the type of merchandising that a company uses, the main purpose always is to form a lasting impression on potential customers. One such merchandising item is lanyards. One of the most popular and effective forms of marketing at business events has been T-shirts printed with the name of the compa

Rep. Ginny Brown-Waite, Rep. Cliff Stearns, and Rep. Ron Paul say “no,” and have sent a letter to the President asking him to request congressional consent, which they expect would be speedily given. They point to the example of President Theodore Roosevelt, who created a committee, including the Chief Justice, to hold Roosevelt’s Nobel Peace Prize money in trust until he left office. After leaving office, Roosevelt asked for congressional consent to disburse the money to particular charities

I arrived to learn that Bill O'Reilly claimed I was "afraid" to talk to him about the hateful crap his colleagues at Fox are peddling. Sorry Bill, I was aloft, not afraid. Actually, I've enjoyed the times O'Reilly has had me on his show. He's also a Mets fan, which counts for something with me.But

My workplace just put in place a check for Photo ID on purchases of $200 or more on credit card. When would you ask for the photo ID?
After you’ve swiped the card (transaction went through) or before it?\
What if the person doesn’t have ID? My supervisor told me to hold onto the card even if the person demands I give it back.
Im scared…I sense some major bitchfights coming my way with customers O_O
When you ask the customer how they wish to pay, if they answer credit, tell them you need photo ID. Frankly, I think this is a good practice and will cut down on credit card fraud. I have my picture on my credit card, which is an option with many cards, and that usually suffices. Others will write "Ask for photo ID" in the signature area of their cards as a protection measure, but that is voluntary on their part.
Also, did you know that asking for photo ID is technically a violation of both Visa and Mastercard’s merchant policies? There is a form here where customers can report it for Mastercard (Visa probably has something similar): http://www.mastercard.com/us/personal/en/contactus/merchantviolations.html
I don’t know about holding the card if the person doesn’t have an ID. Many people are used to just carrying a credit card with them when they shop and aren’t crooks because of that. The store could find themselves liable for damages in instituting that policy. I could understand it if the computer returns a message that the card was lost or stolen, but not if the person doesn’t have their ID with them.
*********************
Here is the number for Visa to report merchant violations:
1- 800-VISA-911
This is a two-edged sword. While asking for ID does, in some instances, cut down on fraud, it is technically a violation of merchant service policies unless the card is unsigned. Providing additional identification along with your credit card number is enough for a dishonest person to steal your identity. Both Visa and Mastercard encourage their customers to report merchants who require additional identification from a customer using a signed card when making a purchase with their cards.

Do you need a professional photo ID when you apply for a passport or would just a digital photograph work as long as all the requirements were met?
It’s better to have a professionally taken passport photo because they know the exact requirements needed and if the Passport office says the photo is unnacceptable you should be able to take it back and request that the photo shop redo it for free.
If you do it yourself you have to make sure that the picture doesn’t look too grainy, has decent quality inks, paper and of course meet all the other requirements that the passport office likes you to meet (size of head, lighting, glare on glasses, angle of head etc).

My wife dose not have a photo id.Is there any other option left for her to travel.
Is she wanting to travel domestically within the US? Or within Canada? Australia? England? South Africa? Maybe within Brazil, but you’re just asking the question in English for some reason?
Different countries have different laws. So the answer could be yes or no, depending on which country you’re talking about. We have no way of knowing where in the world you live.

i need just a plain black, blank (un printed) lanyard. one of those things that goes around the neck and has a clip on the end for keys and stuff. where can u find a place that sells them. i just need one, not like 50 or whatever.
You can probably get them at any office supply store. They are definitely availalbe at Office Depot, or online at http://www.officedepot.com/a/products/834608/Inch-Breakaway-Lanyard-with-Keyring/ They cost $1.60.
OfficeMax also has lanyards—and for a penny less.

I have also seen them at Staples stores, but online, Staples only sells them by the dozen.
Good luck!!

Is there any law that says US citizens are required to carry valid identification on their person at all times? What about in Florida?
Could someone also provide some sort of proof? Like a supreme court ruling or something? I could not find it on my own.
No. according to the u.s. supreme court, police can sometimes demand that you identify yourself, but the court was careful to point out that does not mean that police can demand that you produce some form of identification. If there was, nothing would stop you from simply printing your name on a business card and handing it over. Of course, when driving, you must have your license, but pedestrians have no such requirement.

I just got married and have a flight booked under my maiden name. I would like to change my name before the flight since I have the time to do so now. Of course I need to show identification under my maiden name – can I just show my passport as identification? I was thinking I can change my SS & Drivers License and wait for my passport. Is this acceptable?
For flying internationally, you need a passport
in the same name as your ticket.
For domestic flying, any "government issued photo id"
is ok. If your passport matches your ticket,
you’re good to go.
I think your plan is OK.
(It won’t hurt to bring along your marriage papers
and anything else that makes clear what is going on,
just in case. But for starters, just show an ID that
matches the ticket and let THEM ask any questions.)

i was wondering if the us embassy in manila was able to issue us military spousal id cards do they have a deers department?
I don’t believe the State Department could do that — military IDs need to come from the military installation where the soldier is currently stationed. The Embassy could do a US passport, but probably not a military ID. Email or call the Consular Section of the Embassy if you really want to pursue it.

Someone told me to get a videocard that draws only about 50 watts. But when i look at video cards it doesnt show how much it draws out. For instance this one
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8990407&type=product&id=1218007083381
how much power does this draw out for an example
The nVidia 9500GT draws a maximum of 50 watts. That wattage number came straight from nVidia’s own website: http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_9500gt_us.html
Click on the Specifications tab, and scroll down. The "Maximum Card Power" specification is near the bottom.
The 9500GT is the most powerful 50-watt card you can get. I wouldn’t bother with the 8400GS you linked to– It only has 8 stream processors, which is a piece of garbage compared to the 32 stream processors on the 9500GT.
Lots of card makers like XFX, EVGA, etc. all make 9500GT cards.

By Mohammed Al-Shawaf, KF9 Palestine I’ve been in Palestine for one week and have feared for my life. Have I reinforced the stereotype yet? It might be surprising to learn that the only times I have actually felt scared here have been dodging reckless drivers, not bullets. But that’s me. On my first day in the field I learned an important lesson: risks are calculated and danger is in the eye of the beholder. I witnessed the first example of this rule on the way to Hebro

I thought I’d check out Jim’s updated secular page and boy was I surprised to see that he had taken my adjustment of his ’secular’ bible blog badge (rightly retitled ‘Believer’s Bible Blog”) and drawn a line through it! Saturday Snippet from Wicked Lucidity – a bit about friendship because sometimes I think we could all use a pick me up friendship piece :) I stared at the large Victorian home in front of me. What was I thinking? The place was huge. Too big for just one person and certainly too much work for me. Calling it a fixer-upper was a far cry from the truth. My need to start a new life and protect the lives of others had outweighed my better judgment. I was hardly a master craftsman and I
