Gush Shalom is petitioning MasterCard to rescind its Israeli franchisee’s coupon for tours in the Silwan/City of David neighborhood. The tours are through ELAD a lead settler organization engaging in “Judaizing” this Palestinian village just outside the walls of the Old City. Gush Shalom’s email asked supporters to send an email petitioning: As the MasterCard name and logo were directly used, implicating your company with its world-wide business network, I feel it is incumbent upon your compa

The Persian Bazaars of 1910 (as viewed through western eyes): Islamic History Sourcebook: Eustache de Lory: The Persian Bazaars, 1910 : Like the bazaars in Constantinople and Cairo, those of Teheran consist of an immense labyrinth of streets covered with brick vaults, forming an uninterrupted row of little domes, in the middle of each of which a round hole is pierced to let in the light. Through this hole the sun darts its rays like the flash-lights of a man-of-war amid the half-lig

Crossposted with TomDispatch.com Time to Change the Story The Israel Project hired pollster Stanley Greenberg to test American opinion on the Middle East conflict -- and got a big surprise. In September 2008, 69% of Americans called themselves pro-Israel. Now, it's only 49%. In September, the same 69% wanted the U.S. to side with Israel; now, only 44%. How to explain this dramatic shift? Greenberg himself suggested the answer years ago when he pointed out that, in politics, "a

It’s been more than a week since Blizzard’s deadline to personalize your Blizzcon 2009 tickets has passed, yet there’s still a whole bunch of ticket holders trying to sell off their spares on eBay. Here’s the process they required, as detailed on the official events FAQ: You will have up until Saturday, June 13 at 5 p.m. Pacific Time to make any changes to attendee badge information

This post is largely about drug and medical device litigation “inside baseball.” Some of it’s going to be really technical. So if you’re looking for philosophical musings, or just a chuckle or two over the latest bizarre goings on in our neck of the woods, come back later. But if you’ve ever had to worry about pleading and proving FDA actions without formal discovery – especially doing it on Rule 12 motions to dismiss or motions for judgment on the pleadings – pull up a cyber chair. For today’s review I will be looking at a simple yet functional iPhone stand that looks sleek and stylish on ones desktop; especially if you own an aluminum iMac or an Apple Cinema Display. Just Mobile has designed an iPhone stand dubbed the Xtand (thank God they did not name it the iStand) that mimics the base of an aluminum iMac. It is an elegant looking device that allows any model iPhone to rest in a horizontal or vertical orientation. It is important to note that this is just a stand as opp

Here's an idea: How about we stop focusing on livers for a second and look at the best, worst and as he might put it, "insanely great" parts of Steve Jobs life so far? Foreword (It's long. You can skip this if you want.) The timeline itself is made from a half dozen books, which I've listed below, and several websites. I'm sure there are some errors and missing parts, because the books often contradict each other. Also, I consider this timeline/biography to be in Alpha, so let me know

That’s a German saying that means, “Everything in its place saves time and angry words.” Just came to mind when seeing this new Spiegel article, “ German Researchers Tackle Untidy Desks “: It’s the same problem everywhere: Overloaded desks aren’t just frustrating for their owners — they also make employers unhappy. Academic researchers have long been studying the issue and have reached some surprising conclusions. According to a study on the “lean office” by the Stuttgart-based Fraunhofer I

The Hall of Presidents update to include President Obama and otherwise update the attraction is just about done. We’ve known for some time about details like the new narrator and speaking lines by George Washington, but yesterday Orlando Sentinel writer Dewayne Bevil got a sneak peak of the attraction and has been able to share many more elements of the show . The Hall of Presidents officially reopens on July 4th. But AP holders and DVC members can get an early look on June 28th from 11am-9

Here are a rainbow of options on our wish list: Lululemon Jet Running Tote Here's a little secret: Workout bags make great carry ons. by Jean Nicholson Usually, identity theft insurance clients are big companies who want to protect their names and their immediate families. The crime of all ages is still at work and still gaining atmospheric heights. A lot of good people with good name have been victims of this abominable crime causing devastating effects upon the lives of the victims. It is also a sad fact to know that this id theft crisis has expanded globally but the perpetrators are still scot-free and still on the loo

My mother did not renew her drivers license as she is unable to drive a vehicle. Her expired drivers license is no longer accepted as photo id nor is the health card with photo accepted. Is there any sort of government photo id card that she can get other than a passport that can be used to prove who she is. Thanks.
State ID card.

We have to at my school, and if it's not around your neck, pocket, backpack, whatever, you get an automatic detention. I got a detention a few months back for having it in my hand. Just wondering if I am in the only school district that requires these.
We have this now, and I think this one of the most idiotic things I have ever heard of. I have one more year left of this absolute bullshit. It's stupid wacko christian parents who bug the school boards untill the put in useless safety measure that are supposedly there to "protect" students. Has anyone ever come into your school pretending to be a student to kill anyone? No. If they did would they be stupid enough to NOT get a nametag?

A passport is out of the question since both parents have to be present to obtain one.
The school district does not issue student identification cards.
The state only provides non-drivers identification cards to minors aged 16 and up.
Does anyone have ANY idea what government agencies issue photo identification cards for minors?
I absolutely need one provided by the government. The kind obtained from a UPS store isn't good enough for the specific activity for which we need a government identification card.
As I stated, the DMV (drivers licence place) does not provide ID to minors under the age of 16.
Winnie–
The DMV is a government agency. They have non-drivers identification cards. As I already stated, I can't obtain a passport because it requires both parents to be present to obtain one. There is no other parent but me.
The event my son wants to attend requires a photo ID by any government agency. A school district is the government. But my son's school district did away with student IDs.
there are circumstances where only one parent need by present for applying for a passport. check this link for children under 14: http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/minors/minors_834.html
children 14-17 only require one parent be present.
if further questions, try contacting the passport center at:

or e-mail them at the link above.
good luck.

My Michigan ID has a very thin waxy coating on the back of it. It allows you to write on it and fill in information.
Where can I buy something like this that could be stuck onto the back of a plastic card? Must be similar to the waxy material that I am talking about…
Again, I need the waxy tape or coating specifically.
All I got was a link to a standard Amazon page, not a specific product. Still looking for an answer…
Thanks
Most ID cards are Laminated and you can write on them also. Try your local office supply store

Pay attention to the "with 42A on the +12V Rail", which I don't understand. Thank you.
If NOT, then, if possible, give me a link to a rather cheap one that would support it.
That power supply is not very easy to set up because you got four separate +12V rails, each with a maximum of 18 Amps.
The GTX285 draws a maximum of 204 watts, according to nVidia: http://www.nvidia.com/object/product_geforce_gtx_285_us.html (it's under the specifications tab.) 204 watts / 12 volts = 17 Amps.
You will need to make sure there is NOTHING else connected to the particular +12V rail your GTX285 is connected to, otherwise you will overload that rail (since each of the four separate +12V rails on your PSU max out at 18 amps each.)
That's the reason why I hate those multiple +12V-rail PSUs. If you don't know what you are doing and don't spread the load evenly across all four rails, you can kill something.
For your situation I'd much rather use the Corsair 550W PSU, which has just one single +12V rail with 42 Amps.

Yoga Mad Many women are looking to learn yoga for stress relief . Since yoga for women has been shown to increase health benefits, and decrease anxiety and worry, women would be well-advised to begin each day with simple breath yoga. Upon arising from bed in the morning, get on a mat and pull your knees up to your chest. Next raise your legs in the air and maintain this position until you feel clarity. Then bend over and place your forehead on your lower legs until you feel prepared to

Today you cant be too cautious about security especially workers entering and leaving the premises. It is sometimes cumbersome and unwieldy to carry an ID badge in a wallet, around the neck or pinned to a suit or uniform. That is why an arm badge holder is an ideal way for managers to solve this problem. These plastic holders are light weight and work perfect for different work applications on the job site where there is plenty of activity. Safe to wear on construction sites, healthcare envi
