I’m not talking about a drivers license, but an enhanced identification. Is the main picture of the person on the left or right? Also, what color is it?

Enhanced referrs to the new security features added to Mass ID’s 5 or 6 years ago. This includes not only driver licenses but liquor ID’s, State ID (non driver), under 21 ID’s etc…

Generally they all look like driver license except for the under 21 ID which has a portrait format vs the lanscape format of the other ID’s

I called a temp agency and they said bring 2 forms of identification. I have a school ID, a birth certificate and a social security card. My mom said not to bring in my birth certificate or my ss card. So that only leaves me with one form of identification, what should I do?

I needed to do this the other day, You HAVE to bring both IDs I believe you are refering to the ID that establishes who you are and the other that you are legally eligible to work in this country. You should tell your mother that that is the only way they will hire you.

They are booked to fly next month to florida from chicago. She will be traveling with my girlfriend. Does my daughter need any identification? Birth cert etc?

children under the age of 18 and flying within the usa are not required to show any form of identification. (this is regardless of who she is flying with).
no need to bring her birth certificate either. keep it at home where it is safe.

Just bought book 1 of the 39 clues on audible so I don’t have an identification code (well I don’t think so), can I still register or do I have to buy a card pack or book? Please help. Thanks in advance.

It’s been a long time since I played on that site (just because I forgot about it) but I don’t remember having to have an identification code? Or do you mean like on a pack of those cards? I don’t think those are necessary, but I think that they’re helpful to add to the cards that you earn online.

There are few identification software for classical music. Is ipod is good enough or I need something better then that? I am looking for something mobile. What software will be the best for this purpose?

First – this software does not identify the MUSIC – it identifies the RECORDING (and then give you the title, among other info). So – if you hold an app-laden phone up to LIVE music, or music that has not been recorded on one of the large labels that has submitted their corpus of literature to this app developer – they you get nothing. The only way to identify music reliably by ear, to to either BE an expert, or hang out with one.

Ever try to run an import CD thru GraceNote or another DB? It rejects it – those big DBs handle only the largest commercial companies. Even iTunes falls down a lot -at least on the foreign CDs I have. Your recognition software will fare no better- unless you intend to restrict yourslef to holding your phone up in places that are playing commercially popular recorded classical music.

Added – Holly Murphy????? You have been reported for your theft – I wish there was a way to report STUPID – this will have to do. You joined TODAY – to be dumb in public? Nice . . . .

Employee identification codes at a company contain 2 letters followed by 3 digits. Find the number of possible identification codes.

The school’s football team has a choice of different colored jerseys and different colored pants to wear for their uniforms. They have purple jerseys, white jerseys, and striped jerseys. The choices for the pants are purple or white. What is the probability that the team will select the white jerseys with purple pants?

Briana bought 3 fashion magazines, 2 exercise magazines, and 2 dance magazines. How many choices of magazines does she have to read?

2 letters, 3 digits. OK, for UPPER case letters only, the first place has 26 possibilities. The second place has 26 possibilities for each of the 26 in the 1st place. Then, there are 1000 numbers for each, so the total of 2 letters and 3 numbers is 26*26*10*10*10= 676,000. if you include the 26 lower case letters as well as upper case, it becomes 52*52*10*10*10=2,704,000. For a computer, "A" and "a" are different.

As for the jerseys, 3 jerseys, 2 pants, means only 6 combinations, 3 each for each pair of pants, so the odds in a random draw are 1 in 6, 1 in 3 that a white jersey will be randomly selected, 1 in 2 that white pants will be randomly selected, for an overall chance of 1 in 6.

For the magazines, there is a 1 in 7 choice. There are simply 7 total, and you get to pick ONE, right? So, 1 in 7 that a particular magazine will be randomly selected. The odds of a particular TYPE of magazine is 3 in 7 for fashion, 2 in 7 for exercise and 2 in 7 for dance.

Can someone explain what is a conservative notion of "identification" and a liberal notion of identity? These relate to race, culture or social group but not as in political.

One way of analyzing the research underlying conceptions of giftedness is to review existing definitions along a continuum ranging from conservative to liberal. Conservative and liberal are used here not in their political connotations, but rather according to the degree of restrictiveness that is used in determining who is eligible for special programs and services.
Have the obvious advantage of expanding the conception of giftedness, they create two dilemmas. First, they introduce a values issue by forcing educators to delineate potentially valuable lines of human activity. Second, they introduce even greater subjectivity in the measurement and assessment of children’s potentialities.

An identification code is to consist of five letters followed by four digits. How many different codes are possible if repetition is permitted?

Are capital and lower case letters allowed? Or, just either lower or lower case (but not both)?

If only lower or upper are allowed, there are 26 letters available in each position. If both upper and lower are allowed, there are 52 letters available in each position.

For upper or lower only: 26 * 26 * 26 * 26 * 26 = 26^5 = 11881376 possible alphabetic combinations.
Multiply this by the total possible numeric combinations:
10 * 10 * 10 * 10 = 10^4 = 10000

If you allow only upper or lower case, the total number of codes is 11881376 * 10000 = 118813760000.

If you allow both upper and lower case, the alphabetic combinations comes to:
52*52*52*52*52 = 52^5 = 380204032.
Multiply this by the number of numeric combinations: 380204032 * 10000 = 3802040320000.

So,
If you allow either upper or lower (not both) case, the total number is 118,813,760,000 combinations.
If you allow both upper and lower case, the total nunmber is 3,802,040,320,000 combinations.

I just found out I was going out of town to out of state and I don’t have any proof of idea. I don’t have a drivers license or a California ID card. Is there any way to get a legal and fast way of identification in a week?

So get a state ID card, or a driver’s license. You’ll get a temporary card immediately.

Most other ID cards might be legal, but won’t be accepted everywhere. I’ve worked at jobs which required me to see ID cards, and we only accepted government issued ID cards, such as driver’s license or military IDs.

If a person lost all their identification papers in a fire or something (social security card, birth certificate, never had a driver’s license…); how would that person get new papers when they have nothing to prove who they are?

I’m just trying to think how someone would to this when they have nothing but the clothes on their back.

you replace it with words.

I’m looking for Caribbean reef species in particular but this is a Google search that often turns up no good results for me. I don’t want a book, I need an online resource, although I suppose a DVD would do. Are there any good fish identification sites out there that I just can’t find?

Humans and prime mates, ours hands, fingerprint is our personal physical identification.
cat and dog is their nose and zebras are their stripes.

So i just wondering does anyone else know other personal physical identification in different animals?

Most animals are not as dependent on sight for identification as humans are. They rely more on smell and, at a distance, on calls.

People can identify individual animals by various markings they have. For example, orcas can be identified by markings on their dorsal fins and other spot patterns.

I lost my drivers license and I need to get a new one but I dont know what to bring for identification. I dont have a passport.

Normally you don’t need more ID because they have your photo and possibly your thumbprint on record…did they tell you to bring something? I would bring any ID I have, especially a school ID just in case…

What does a minor (17 years), who is traveling by themselves, need to show for identification at the airport?

*I’m flying with SunCountry if it makes a difference.

Despite having received a thumbs-down, Charlie’s answer is correct. In the US, passengers under the age of 18 do not need to show any form of ID in order to fly on domestic flights, according to the information on the page linked below. If you have any form of ID, it won’t hurt to bring it — even if it’s something like a school ID — but they’re not going to deny you boarding if you don’t have it.

Note that if you are flying to one of Sun Country’s international destinations (Mexico, Jamaica, or the UK), then you will be denied boarding if you do not present a passport.

In July I am going to California to visit colleges with my father, I do not know what papers/identification I will need to actually board the plane…I know it’s a stupid question but I really don’t know. Like my birth certificate, identification, social security card, passport, etc…?

You get a boarding pass at the desk where you book in, and that is all you want.

I was just wandering why we still use social security numbers, when the social security number system makes identity theft relatively easy. With the social security number system people can commit identity fraud if they just know the other persons social security number. There are more secure ways of identification like finger printing and checking a persons DNA to identify people. These two methods of identification would make identity theft virtually impossible because people can’t still another persons DNA or finger prints like they can with social security numbers. So why do we still use social security numbers as a means of identification?

cos it was the easiest way of keeping a count on the population [human resources] at the time to pay taxes the microchip is next

if we really are supposed to be equal and american. then why should it matter what one’s race is?

when filling out documents, why is it necessary to know my race or have some kind of statistic?

we are all american. we dont need to cater to once race anyways.

so why must we identify ourselves? especially when the options, are usually inaccurate? only few times, have i come across a "mixed with 2 or more races" option.

so is race identification, just holding us further back from equality?

I don’t get it either. Soon, it would be a thing of the past. The only purpose it may serve is for documenting in medical matter…because some races have higher or lower tendencies with particular diseases, like blacks are rated higher in risk for hypertension and some asians in B-12 def.anemia.

What physical method of identification was used in forensic science before fingerprint analysis?
Who was responsible for its development?
And what were its draw backs?

I have not been able to answer this question and would appreciate any help at all. Also it would be great if you could post the web site that you found this on so I can do a little more research. Thanks.

The Bertillon method was one…

Some have argued that DNA samples for pre-trial identification is a violation of their 5th Amendment right to be free from incriminating themselves. What do you think? Does the 5th amendment extend to DNA swabs?

Not if our legal system is indeed based on justice and not just loop holes and legal garbadegoog.

Can an identification made by a witness in a criminal mischief case be retracted by the witness? Thus leaving no facts against the defendant and the case being dropped?

usually not, the courts are very skepical of a witness changing their mind.

I need to go and get my Identification Card, but whenever I go to look up an address or anything it just comes up with random sites, with no information on the ID cards. Any help is beneficial.

Go to this site:

http://www.dmdc.osd.mil/rsl/owa/home

Use the search by "State" for Minnesota
You’ll find every ID card issuing facility in the state. I saw three in St. Paul.

I’m a survival enthusiast and i love nature. I’m going to see if i can survive without any help or supplies, like food in the mountains of kentucky. I want a survival book to help me out and i just want the identification books for fun.

It’d be nice to have as accurate a book as possible, i mean for the location, because obviously a desert survival book won’t help much.
