I am trying to get into E3 this year. I got my web site up and running and I got the 2 articles, they asked for.. thing is I do not have a ID Printer so I can’t get a government id that shows my Cos name. . is there anywhere I can go in Ca? ( like in Long Beach ) that would print them ? .. and how much would it cost for it?. I have been working hard to try to get in there and I can’t have one little thing keep me from going.. so can someone help me here?..
Google it? Map quest? I’m sure a post office could get your ID for you or a printing place.

i recently bought a hp laserjet 1020 printer.
i am testing it out and there is a little residue on the printed papers and there is occasionally lines.
is this the printer or the toner?
will replacing the toner fix the problem or should i take it back?
id appreciate the feedback, thanks
I had the same problem but with my Samsung printer but what i did which i think you should is to take out the toner and just shake it a little to even it out because thats what causes the residue.

If the printer is using liquid ink, you can open it up, take out the ink cartridge, and shake it to listen and guesstimate how much you have left. If you start to see streaks and lines in your printed material, thats when you’re running out.

I don’t own a printer, which is stupid of me. I emailed the confirmation page to myself, just in case, but I was wondering if I have to print it out in order to get the boarding pass. Am I all right showing my ID at the ticket counter? Or should I write down all the page info, so I can tell them the ticket number and all of that?
Driving is so much easier.
You just need to show your ID. You do need to know your flight number, or at least the time of departure if it is not a very large airport.
It would not be a bad idea if you wrote down the confirmation number.
It’s also good to bring a major credit card. The automated check in machines can read your name off the card and look up your flight from that (doesn’t charge anything to the card; just reads your name off the magnetic stripe on the back). You’re probably bringing a credit card anyway.

Is there anyone who knows how to check the caller ID on a Lexmark printer, scanner, copier, fax? I’m working and just missed a call! thanks for any help!

i am trying to figure out which printer to use to scan my id. The printer I currently have blurrs the minuscule details after I scan the card. I need something that can pick up these tiny details clearly. idk if it is the plastic covering but thanks!
There are many HP printers where they auto detect the size.
why don’t you check some Hp printers

I’m flying Southwest Airlines. My printer isn’t working so I can’t print out the boarding pass. I heard something about needing the credit card you bought the ticket with but my sister bought it and just put it in my name so I don’t have that.
you dont need the credit card that the ticket was purchased with. You can just go to the airport, check in at one of their self check in machines and print your boarding pass that way, or show the ticketing agent your photo ID and confirmation number and they can print your boarding pass.

it sorta looks moldy lol idk why but i want to print pics of my son but they look messed up
Try to use hp media (hp photo paper and genuine ink) and try to see if it improves. Sometimes, using refilled ink cartridges may not look best on its printouts at all times.

To print the ID size correctly, open the image in Photoshop or whatever software you are using.
Now, resample it to the correct size of the ID you want and save it. Now, when you are ready to print, open that saved image and it will print exactly that size.
Make sure the settings selected is "Print as in document"
That’s it….

I want to print my birth date on my school ID card b/c I don’t have my driver’s license yet and I want to prove that I’m 16. If I don’t have an ID printer, where could I go to get this done?
I need to get this done by Saturday and it takes 3 weeks to get a state issued license from the DMV.
You would have to do it on a special card printer, and you will not find any place willing to do it for you on a school id.

I’m trying to make fake credit cards for my son’s themed birthday party
Your best bet is to print on a heavy paper (a card stock will do) and the have them laminated. Trying to run any kind of plastic through an inkjet printer will jam the printer. Even if you could run the plastic through the printer, plastic requires special inks. Inkjet ink will smudge/not dry on plastic. You might even consider just printing on a good quality photopaper for inkjet printers, then getting the fake id cards laminated. That will give you some thickness for the cards and also makes sure they are glossy both from the paper and the lamination. Many office supply stores offer laminating services as well as printing and copying services.

I was thinking about getting this camera with printer: http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=7730901&povid=cat3959-env7618-module62454-rLink5
It seems like a pretty good deal. But my question is if I get that would the camera printer print documents on my computer?
Only 4 x 6 photos can be printed and nothing else.

I notice passport photo shops charge a ridiculous amount of money just to take 2 tiny photos for the passport. I can do the same thing on my photo printer for nothing. Is it ok for me to use my printer to print off my picture and send it with my renewal application…Of course i’d still have to get the back stamped and then signed by a guarantor.
The stamp is by the photographer’s studio and certifies that the picture meets the passport photo requirements for size, quality, background, and facial expression. It also is dated by the photographer so that they can say this was an accurate representation of the person on a specific date.
You then get it signed by the guarantor to certify that the person in the photo is actually the person named in the passport application.
So long story short, unless you are a professional photographer with your own studio, you can’t take your own photo and use it.
If you try this, best case scenario is either it passes and no one notices for the next 5 years, or they reject it and you have to apply all over again.
Worst case scenario, you forge the picture to make it "look" like it was a professional studio, you are later caught using the fake photo and face a fine or charges for fraud.

Our old Eltron P400 keeps breaking down and we replace the print head at least once per year. We need a newer, faster ID printer. Any suggestions?

Try the link below:

You didn’t give a lot of details-black & white or color, etc;
but this website does have user reviews.

I have recently designed new photo IDs for my organization. They were designed, originally, for the standard laminated paper/oak tag format, but now we are looking into plastic cards.
As we cannot afford to buy a card printer just for a few staff IDs, we have been found another company, who has such a printer and is willing to print our IDs for us.
The IDs are complete, including name, photograph, and vital information, and are saved as bmp and jpg files, to be printed onto the card stock and cut. Since they are complete already, my question is …do we have to use that company’s program to re-create the cards and insert the photographs and information? Or, is it like any other printer, where we can simply open a bmp or jpg file and tell it to print to that printer? Our IDs are already the same size as the other company’s plastic blanks.
What I’m hoping to do is just send them a bunch of jpgs or bmps, rather than have to inconvenience their ID guy with having to create and complete each one again.
You will need to use their program.
Their printer is most likely not on your office network so you need to bug their ID guy. He most likely has little work to do and stretches it out to a full day so he should be able to absorb the extra work. I would send a pizza his way for the effort.

I bought a MacBook from the Apple Store yesterday with a eductational discount. It came with a printer and iPod Touch for free after rebates. The worker said that you’ll sign up for a apple ID on your Mac to do the rebate stuff etc… Where do I sign up?
Well you can get one at the Apple Website. Just dig around a little, it’s there. I think you can also get on through some menu in iTunes (that’s where I got my first one), but they could have removed this, it was a while ago.

Samsung Electronics launched its small size 3-in-one(color printer/scanner/copier) laser printers ‘CLX-2161K, CLX-2161NK’ in Korea market.
They features 41.3cmx35.3cmx33.3cm compact size, so you don’t have to stand up to use it. The 3-in-one printer reduced its dimension and weight by adopting cylinder shape toner that supports 2,000 pages of black-and-white printing and 1,000 pages of color printing. You could easily change the toner by opening front panel of the printer.
They adopted Samsung’s exclusive ‘NO-NOIS(Non Orbiting Noiseless Optic Imaging System)’ design for low noise. The printers also features ‘USB Direct’ functionality with which you can scan or print without pc and store scanned images in USB memory, and supports ‘ID card copy’ functionality which enables you to copy both sides of an ID card onto one sheet of paper.

I’ve been trying to find some kind of softwares to download to make ID CARDS or Badges for employees, but I either find a website that will make me buy the whole ID PRINTER & such.. and it totals up to $700-$2000+ .. so does anyone know a software or a website or a place where I can make photo ID CARDS/BADGES for less!!!!!! Please help me out!!!
I had already checked with Wal Mart and Target and they have it for atleast $$299+ … is there any online program I can download for free?
Heck, just make your own. You can use almost any photo editing program (like Photoshop) and add text to a picture.
Then just print it out.
You could laminate it yourself or take it to an office store and have it done.
