Where can I learn about getting started with card readers and ID cards in my business? I want membership cards that can be scanned and will have their member information linked to the card. What do I need to buy?
I am assuming you want to purchase a business card reader such as the Cardscan Executive Reader. This is a simple way for you to feed all your cards into the scanner and then the OCR (optical character recognition) recognizes the cards and attempts to place all the information into a easy to manipulate database. It is not a perfect science but it is the simplest solution that I have used in my business.
