I’m thinking of getting this printer

They are both the same printer, just different images of them.
Anyway, I just wondering about the wireless part of it. Well would I need to have a router to use it or could I just get a USB stick and put it in my computer and it would connect to the printer, if you know what I mean. Because I dont have anything wireless. On my nintendo it wont connect to wifi. Basically I cannot go wireless on anything because apparently I need a router to do this.
Would getting this printer be pointless to get, if I have no router? I have no knowledge about wifi/wireless tbh and Im only 15 so dont go all technical on me, because I wont know what your talking about lol.
Thanks in advance.
You do not have to set it up wireless. You can still connect it with USB cable. It just means that you can use it wireless if you wish. Its not USB stick but a cable that you will need. The printer will come with full instruction in the box as to how you set it up if you have never done it before. All you need is the printer and as USB 2.0 cable. Here’s one that Wilkinsons sells for less than £3 and it works the same as the much dearer ones so don’t think you are buying better buy paying more for one of them – it’s a rip off.

That printer also has a USB port so you can connect to it via that.
Check that a USB cable is provided with the printer, if it isn’t then just buy one at the same time.

It looks like it can be connected to your computer directly with a USB cable. You won’t have to worry about the wireless feature.
As far as the wireless portion goes, yes you would have needed a wireless router to use it if you couldn’t connect through the USB cable. If you had gotten a USB wireless stick for your computer, you would still have needed the wireless router.

I have a lexmark +wireless laptop . The usb is used to set up the wireless as the printer has the drivers built in, or used for direct connection to print.
You can connect wirelessly "with out" the need for a router, this is in the supplied instruction book.
But i have chosen to connect via my router , it makes my home network easier to manage
