   I’m not sure about all the details. But now I think you need a passport. Just have that and a ID card and you should be fine.

   It used to be just your driver’s license and possibly your birth certificate

   You DO NOT need a Passport or Visa to enter into Canada for a visit.

   All you need is a State ID or Drivers License.

   As of 1/07, you now need to have a valid passport.

   Passport is the best but if you’re coming across by car….drivers licence, residence card or citizenship card is just fine right now.
