I am making reservations for a 6 year old and an 8 year old. I will be traveling with them. They have no identification — other than birth certificates. Do we need to bring the birth certificates, something else, or not worry about it?
If you are the adult traveling with the children, they don’t need anything if they’re under 18, and traveling domestic. International travel will require at least a passport. Government-issued, valid photo ID is recommended for children, but if it’s not available, and a verified adult is traveling with the children, they are OK.

You will need to bring the birth certificate. It’s a big pain in the backside nowadays traveling but it has to be done. I would recommend getting your passports for the whole family they are good for a few years and make everything a lot easier. And your children can use them to. It’s epically important if you fly internationally saves a lot of paper and identification cards. This means even if you are flying from The USA to Canada even crossing the border on foot you will need proper ID. I’m from Canada and have found it’s even harder getting into my own country then anywhere else in the world even Cuba. The USA was the essayist country to get into for some reason? anyways hope this helps you.
