i recently bought a hp laserjet 1020 printer.
i am testing it out and there is a little residue on the printed papers and there is occasionally lines.
is this the printer or the toner?
will replacing the toner fix the problem or should i take it back?
id appreciate the feedback, thanks
I had the same problem but with my Samsung printer but what i did which i think you should is to take out the toner and just shake it a little to even it out because thats what causes the residue.

Look for "density" adjustment in your users manual. It is usually a lever near the toner cartridge and should be adjusted for best looking printing each time the cartridge is changed.
