I have neither driving licence, passport, bus pass or Government-issued Warrant Card. Without any of the above I cannot (apparently) identify myself as a bona fide UK citizen. Very sore point. Please advise.

Use your Birth Certificate.
Since ID is not required by law no one is entitled to demand it. If it’s a shop just tell them you’re taking your money elsewhere.
