i got hp pavilion a6720f (link http://www.microcenter.com/single_product_results.phtml?product_id=0303606) the power supply is 300W, i need to upgrade it to up to 600W, is it possible to replace it and if so, is it going to fit in there, and is there alot of work that needs to be done, i got a card that i want, but it says that i need minimum of 600W power supply
Power supplies are standard sizes and, replacement is fairly straight forward. You should not have a problem with the fit. However, HP cases tend to be very crowded. You may have some problems reaching plug in sockets. It’s not impossible. Just a very tight fit.
